Messer can draw on more than half a century of experience in the field of metal constructions for industrial purposes. We offer our customers everything from a single source: from planning and design to production, delivery, assembly and maintenance. The high quality level of our products and services has won over many regular customers literally from the very first minute. Fruitful business relationships lasting 60 years are not uncommon for us. ... a manufacturing and assembly company since 1947
We manufacture a wide variety of process engineering equipment according to our customers’ specifications. Decades of experience have given us extensive and wide-ranging expertise in this field. We are happy to incorporate this into the planning process to ensure that everything is perfectly tailored to the customer’s requirements during implementation.
In addition to a wide range of filter technology, which we supply complete with peripherals, we also manufacture thickeners, clarifiers and flotation systems, for example. We also have a great deal of experience in the manufacture of sprinkler tanks with chillers. Our customers can be found both in the municipal sector and in industry.
SCOPE OF SERVICES Design, layout and calculation, planning, preliminary inspection, manufacture, quality assurance (construction, pressure, weld seam, leak test, etc.), surface treatment.
Corporate development
On September 1, 1947, Karl Messer founded the assembly company KARL MESSER & Söhne
In 1955, the company changed its name to KARL MESSER KG. Since May 2005, the long-established company has been called Messer Industriemontagen & Apparatebau GmbH.
On 1 September 1947, Karl Messer founded the assembly company KARL MESSER und Söhne, which changed its name to KARL MESSER KG in 1955.
In 1960, the 330 square metre production facility at the Heringen site in the Lengers district goes into operation. Pipeline, steel and tank construction already emerge as the main focus.
In 1962, a second hall with a floor area of 550 square metres is built at the Lengers site. The equipment includes 5 and 10 tonne cranes.
In 1964, Hans Messer takes over the management of the company following the death of his father Karl.
On 1 January 1974, the company changes its name to KARL MESSER GmbH & Co KG. Production is further expanded.
On 1 May 2005, Dipl.-Ing. Michael Klebsch takes over the assets of Karl Messer GmbH & Co. KG i. I. and founds the successor company Messer Industriemontagen & Apparatebau GmbH.
Today, the total area of the company premises is around 36,000 square metres. Around 7,000 square metres are built on, with 6,500 square metres for production and 500 square metres for administration.
WSM MESSER Spezialmontagen GmbH
The long-established WSM Spezialmontagen und Industrieservice GmbH from Weimar was taken over with effect from 1 January 2010 and is now another member of the Messer Group under a new name.
