Intzetanks for K+S
… with ø13.0 x 14.0 m each made of steel with steel structure
In the years 2020 – 2022, we manufactured a total of seven invert tanks for the K+S sites “Hattorf” (in Philippsthal) and “Unterbreizbach”. The tanks each had a diameter of 13m and a length of around 14.5m. Due to the dimensions, transportation in one piece was not possible, so we prepared the components as far as possible in our production facility and then completed them on site before having a partner apply the internal and external corrosion protection.
The overall package comprised around 500 tons of steel, consisting of the sheet metal for the tanks and sectional steel for the surrounding steel structure.
As part of this package, we also manufactured three flat-bottom tanks.
